Events will be held from Friday to Sunday with the main event, the Nationals Show and Shine, at Queens Park on Saturday at 9am.

Here the cars will be on display and the public is welcome to attend.

FE-FC Holden Car Club of Queensland president Ron Cook said Toowoomba was the perfect location for the event.

"We looked at different areas around Queensland and we found we got a good reception here," he said.

"The atmosphere at the nationals is always electric and the town has everything we need to run a successful show."
