He's ready to bare it all and wax that hairy back

RUSSELL Booth is ready to bare it all and there is no turning back now.

"I'm a little nervous but it is real now and I am ready to get it over and done with," Russell said.

The Maryborough man has volunteered to have his entire back waxed during The World's Greatest Pubfest in Maryborough and it's all for a good cause.

Russell, who has a very hairy back, hasn't ever waxed anything before, and the closest he has come to the pain of waxing is strapping tape on his legs.

Russell has had support for the back wax to take place at the Carriers Arms Hotel on Alice Street at 1pm on Sunday May 1.

There will be an auction for the first strip.

Russell has a beauty therapist on board his cause and while he's a little nervous, there is no turning back now.

If you want to help wax his back, it will cost you $5 a strip with all money raised going towards the Cancer Council's Relay for Life.

Russell has support on the Hervey Bay Relay for Life Tea and Toasters Facebook page and the Maryborough Community Facebook page.

There will also be raffles on the day.
