Hand in your flood feedback

THE Roma flood consultation period is in full swing and now is the time to speak up about your concerns.

The council has hired facilitation specialists Engagement Plus to lead the community engagement phase.

Engagement Plus director Michelle Feenan said people were strongly encouraged to get their feedback in.

"We've written to over a thousand property owners in the Roma area," Ms Feenan said.

"People can share their responses and ideas on the hardcopy feedback form and on the council website."

Ms Feenan said Engagement Plus would be in the Arthur St office, next to Maranoa Travel, until the end of the week.

At the end of the consultation period, Engagement Plus will provide the council with a consultation report.

"As well as community feedback, the report will also contain the results of our meetings with state agencies such as Main Roads, QR, emergency management, SES and the Queensland Police Service," she said.

See Friday's paper for a report on Monday's flood study community workshops.
