SNAKES have been snapped dining out, with results that are both amazing and a little gruesome.

The photos were posted to the Facebook page of Lockyer Valley-based Andrew Smedley's snake removal business.

It started when Mr Smedley shared a photo of a snake dining out on a frog and commented on the "mess" it had made.

"Sorry frog lovers, lol, it's the circle of life though," Mr Smedley said,

Mr Smedley asked his followers to post photos of snakes eating and the results were slightly disturbing.

One of Mr Smedley's followers shared a photo of a snake that had just eaten a canary, with the "bulge" clearly visible.
