Goondiwindi driver 'four times the legal limit'

A GOONDIWINDI man has been charged with high range drink driving after allegedly taking the wheel more than four times over the legal limit.

The 22-year-old was pulled over for a roadside breath test on Friday night, allegedly recording a blood-alcohol reading of 0.212.

The man had his licence suspended and will appear in Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on January 20.

Several hours later, police pulled over a 23-year-old Goondiwindi woman for a roadside breath test.

The woman allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.117 and had her licence suspended.

She will also appear in Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on January 20.
