Golfers play for Roma title
Roma members took a swing at the club championships held at the course on the weekend.
In the Saturday rounds, Donna Barber emerged victorious with a gross of 223 for 45 holes to claim the ladies' championship.
The nett winner for the day was Vivian Bruton.
The following day, golfers braved wet weather for the men's grade championships.
Joshua Lambert took top honours in A-grade, with a gross score of 297 for 72 holes, winning the mantle of overall champion.
Mark Hall won Bgrade with a gross of 335 and David Taylor won Cgrade with 293.
Men's senior gross winner was Paul Schutt.
Junior Brett Kennedy, who played in B grade with his handicap, took out the junior title.
The club thanked Paul Schutt and Kathy Beck for their help in organising the championship event.
The men's monthly medal, sponsored by Nebgar engineering tees off on Saturday.
