Gold Coast shopkeeper knifed in neck during robbery
A STORE worker was stabbed in the neck during an armed robbery at Gold Coast's Main Beach on Tuesday morning.
Police have now released an image of a man they believe can help with their questions.
Police say a man armed with a knife demanded money from a general store on Main Beach Parade about 2.30am.
When a scuffle broke out between the two men, the shop worker was stabbed in the neck when the attacker lunged with the knife.
The man then ran away empty handed.
The male shopkeeper received a non-life threatening injury to his neck and has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The man is described as Caucasian, heavy set, aged approximately 25-35 years and was wearing a white cap, a grey-coloured jacket with a white zip, black shorts and black thongs.
