Gold Coast shooting: Man hit in shoulder by gunfire

A MAN who was shot in the shoulder at Southport is undergoing treatment at Gold Coast University Hospital.

Police said initial investigations indicate incident occurred around 1.20am at a Sungold Avenue residence.

A 32-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a believed non-life threatening injury.

A crime scene has been established at the address.

Investigations are continuing however it is believed at this time that the victim and the offender are known to each other.
