Girl airlifted after family car accident

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl has been airlifted to Miles Hospital after a car accident that left her unconscious.

The girl was travelling in the car with her mother and father on Sunday, December 18.

At around 4pm, a semi-trailer allegedly pulled in front of them, a statement from LifeFlight said.

She was knocked out on impact and suffered minor injuries and bruising to her cheek.

LifeFlight's Roma-based Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) transported the patient, along with her mother, to Miles Hospital.

She is in a stable condition.

The girl's parents did not suffer injuries.
