THE grand semi final games of the Roma and District Rugby League were played on Sunday at Bassett Park.

All teams were vying for their spot in the grand final match on August 27.

The first game played on the day saw the Roma Cities under-16s clash with the Wallumbilla-Surat Red Bulls.

The Bulls proved too strong for the Cities, with the full time score standing at 78 - 0.

The Red Bulls will advance on to the grand final.

The under-18s match saw the Bulldogs defeat Mitchell, which put them straight through to the grand final.

The Red Bulls went head to head with the Roma Cities in the reserve grade match, with the Cities winning 28 - 12.

The a-grade game saw the Cities advance to the finals after beating the Red Bulls.

The preliminary finals will be held this Sunday at Bassett Park, starting from 11.45am.
