Funding boost for Roma community groups secured

MEMBER for Warrego Ann Leahy was pleased to announce on Tuesday that two local community groups from the Maranoa would receive a share of $44,061 in funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

"The Easter in the Country Association will be able to continue the festival and live music with a grant of $9,500,” Ms Leahy said.

"The Roma Polocrosse Club will be able to upgrade toilet facilities with a grant of $34,561.06.”

Ms Leahy said the Gambling Community Benefit Fund was a quarterly program that provided up to $35,000 to community groups and was a great initiative for local community groups.

"In this funding round, a total of $466,144 will be provided to 19 organisations across the Warrego electorate,” Ms Leahy said.
