Friendships made through Go Girl Racing Series

IT MIGHT sound bizarre, but Tarlia Pearson and Jazzy Stagg are best friends despite living more than 500km away from each other.

The pair of talented motocross riders have shown the Go Girls Racing Series isn’t just about winning – it’s aboout friendship as well.

Nine-year-old Tarlia, of Roma, met 10-year-old Jazzy, of Coolum Beach, during the series last year, which gives feamle motocross riders to test their skills against the best riders, makes friends, win competitive prize money and possibly become spotted by talent scouts.

Tarlia said the series was a great chance for her to see what she was capable of.

“I like how I get to race all different girls and on all these different tracks,” she said.

Roma will host the Junior and Senior Female Championships along with the final round of support racers and mixed Vets in July and event organiser Nicole McIntyre said the series had already grown from last year.

“This is bigger than last year – we’ve got racers from South Australia, Western Australia and New South Wales,” she said.

“We try too cater for everyone so that means great prize money, great trophies and talent scouts.”
