Free concerts and volunteers to help Murweh shire
CONNECTING Communities Australia and musician Tobias are taking a team of 25volunteers to work on farms around Charleville from September 30 to October 6.
Glenn Price, Tobias, Nikki Fogden-Moore (the Mojo Maker) and 25 Connecting Communities Australia volunteers will travel from as far away as Sydney and Brisbane to renovate fences, farm buildings, provide on-the-ground support and much-needed practical work where resources are so low.
Sharing stories, capturing content to raise awareness and delivering much-needed hands-on work, the week will culminate with a concert headlined by Tobias in Charleville for all the community.
The Connecting Communities Australia program is about helping farmers with practical assistance on the farm, while providing access to mental health programs and lifting their spirits through the provision of community events.
The volunteers will be on farms from October 1 to October 5.
