Four in hospital after southwest power pole crash

A car has slammed into a power pole and crashed into a fence in St George overnight.

The vehicle was travelling southwest on Munro St but lost control and collided with a power pole, snapping it in half at 11.11pm on March 6, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.

It then crashed into a nearby fence.

The 30-year-old driver and three children, two boys and one girl all under the age of 12, were taken to St George hospital.

All four passengers were transported in stable conditions but the driver suffered facial injuries, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

They were all taken to hospital in a stable condition.
