Four hospitalised after violent burglary

FOUR men are in hospital and police are investigating after a violent burglary in Pacific Pines.

On Sunday night police responded to reports of an assault on Bayrick Street.

An unknown number of people had forced entry into a residence and assaulted the occupants, police were advised.

A 27-year-old, a 30-year-old Pacific Pines man, a 31-year-old Southport man and another man thought to be in his 30s were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

All four men had injuries consistent with a bladed weapon and remain in a serious but stable condition.

Police investigations are continuing.
