Kieran Foran off to Parramatta Eels as deal confirmed

THE worst-kept secret in rugby league has been confirmed, with Manly announcing Kieran Foran (pictured) would be leaving the club at the end of the season to join Parramatta.

The Kiwi international has signed a four-year-deal reportedly worth $1.2 million-a-season, making him the highest-paid player in the competition.

Eels chairman Steve Sharp said the signing was "a great endorsement for the club's positive transformation over the last two years".

"Our head coach Brad Arthur has done a tremendous job in building a quality squad that is ready to become a force in the NRL, and the addition of Kieran will only further strengthen our side," Sharp said.

Foran, who has made 19 appearances in Tests for New Zealand, has also played 129 games for Manly.

His loss follows the decision by halves partner Daly Cherry-Evans to sign with the Gold Coast Titans from the start of next season.
