Flash flooding slows Warrego Highway traffic

FLASH flooding has slowed traffic on the Warrego Highway at Jackson, following this evening's thunderstorms and heavy downpours.

Police and SES are on the scene, near the intersection of the highway and Jackson-Wandoan Rd, with motorists advised the road is open, but they need to proceed with caution along the stretch.

The Western Star understands SES crews will stay on to clean up the road as the water recedes.
