Boy heads home after being hit by car on Thozet Rd
12.50pm: THE mother of the boy struck by a car on Thozet Rd this morning has reported on The Bulletin's Facebook page that he is ok and headed home.
She says her son is in fact eight-years-old, not five as was earlier reported.
10.30am: A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy struck by a vehicle on Thozet Rd this morning is ok.
Reports indicate he has received no injuries as a result of the accident but is suffering from shock and will be transported to Rockhampton Hospital as a precaution.
It is believed he was riding his bicycle when the accident happened.
10.10am: EMERGENCY services are responding to reports of a child struck by a car on the corner of Rockonia and Thozet Roads.
Reports suggest the child is five-years-old.
