GET ready Roma – you’re about to get a first peek at your new hospital might look like.

A proposed draft design for the new Roma Hospital will be unveiled to residents at two special public information sessions on May 24.

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Cameron Dick said project architects Jacobs and the Roma Hospital project team had been working hard to develop the design.

“This will be Maranoa residents’ chance to view this proposed draft design and have their say about what they think of it,” Mr Dick said.

“We want to engage with the community to help design our new hospital.”

Mr Dick said the proposed draft design that Maranoa residents will be able to see has been developed by the project team following extensive consultation with user and community groups at various meetings over the past couple of months.

“I urge all Maranoa residents with an interest in their health services to take the opportunity to attend the public information sessions and tell us and the project team what they think of the design,” he said.

“The feedback from the public information sessions will then be considered as part of the final design process over the coming months.”

The information sessions will be held at the Roma Cultural Centre in Bungil St.

Attendees will be able to view the proposed draft design, ask questions and share their thoughts.
