HOMEGROWN Health is presenting a new concept for coffee lovers.

Launched yesterday, coffee tapas is a new way to enjoy the hot beverage.

Coffee tapas allows customers to try different blends of coffee and brew it their own way.

Customers are presented with three single origin or house blends of Montville Coffee, with their choice of milk or water.

Homegrown Health owner Darrin Pateman said it was a concept he had been eager to test out for a while.

"The idea came about by wanting customers to truly identify and appreciate the different flavours and aromas associated with each individual roast, bean or blend," he said.

"We want customers to experiment with making their own brews because when you try the blends back to back that is when the flavours come alive.

"It is a social experience too because people love to sit down and have a coffee and now they can sit down with a tapas board of coffee to discuss the different flavours.

"People enjoy beer and food tapas, so I thought, why not coffee tapas?"

There are nine different blends and single origin bean flavours of Montville Coffee to sample.

"We always have three different flavours grinding so each time people come in they will be able to try something different," he said.

"We have only just launched it but already we are getting great feedback. I think it will be great for coffee lovers."

Customers will also be presented with information on each blend, as a way to discover more about the coffee. A coffee tapas board is $12.
