Emus cause double motorbike crash near Morven
TWO motorcycles have collided with emus in a serious accident on the Landsborough Hwy near Morven.
THE Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service landed at 1:20pm to treat and transport one male motorcycle rider from the scene to Roma Airport, where he was then driven by ambulance to the Roma Base Hospital.
He suffered a fractured ankle and suspected internal injuries and travelled in a stable condition.
The female rider of the second motorcycle was transported by road to Charleville Hospital.
Crews were on scene stabilising the patient's for almost two hours prior to transportation.
