UPDATE: Ambulance officers have rushed one person to hospital after this morning's head-on crash in Maroochydore.

Fire crews and police also attended the crash on the corner of First Ave and Aerodrome Rd.

The 90-year-old woman was taken to Nambour Hospital, suffering from chest pains and rib injuries.

EARLIER: Paramedics have rushed to the scene of another head-on collision on the Sunshine Coast.

Reports indicate that one of the passengers is a 90-year-old woman.

Ambulance officers rushed to the crash located in First Avenue, Maroochydore just before 10.30am.

Fire crews and police are also on-scene at First Avenue.

Reports indicate that there is extensive damage to one of the cars.
