Edwina lifts world title in Las Vegas at Fitness America

EDWINA Pettiford has claimed a world title at the Fitness America Weekend in Las Vegas.

Ms Pettiford won first place in the open figure short division and tied for first place in the overall figure division title.

She was also awarded second place in the open physique division

Ms Pettiford said her success meant she was now classified as a professional athlete and would not have to qualify for the same event next year.

"I did a lot of work on my mindset before I went and I was really happy with how I did," she said.

"I have been asked to do some judging in Australia now. I do coaching so it will be good to see things from the judge's point of view."

Ms Pettiford she would spend the whole year preparing for next year's event and would also focus on her fitness business.

"I am coaching people around being fit and health and I am really passionate about getting into the right mindset and self-belief," she said.
