VIDEO: Heavy rain slams into city, roads flooded
UPDATE: The Bureau of Meteorology has cancelled the storm warning for Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and south-east Queensland.

8.15AM: Authorities are warning of heavy rainfall that may spark flashing flooding and damaging winds as thunderstorms hit the Darling Downs this morning.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning at 8.05a.
It warns that, at 8.05 am, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near the area south of Toowoomba and Cambooya.
These thunderstorms are moving towards the north-east.

They were forecast to affect Boonah, Laidley, Gatton and Toowoomba by 8.35 am and Ipswich, Beaudesert and Esk by 9.05 am.

7.45AM: A severe thunderstorm warning for Toowoomba and the Darling Downs has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology this morning.
The Bureau warns that, at 7.25 am, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Stanthorpe and the area south of Warwick.
These thunderstorms are moving towards the east.
They are forecast to affect Warwick, the area northwest of Warwick and the area north of Warwick by 7.55 am and Boonah, the area south of Toowoomba and Helidon by 8:25 am.
Damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones are likely.
