Drought Community Outreach events begin

DROUGHT-affected Queenslanders who make a living from agriculture can find out what assistance is available at the upcoming Drought Community Outreach events.

The events will connect landowners with drought support services including government agencies, mental health service providers, rural and agricultural support organisations and charity groups.

Minister for Drought David Littleproud said Queenslanders were able to have one-on-one conversations with both federal and state agencies, and local service providers.

"This will provide tailored advice to help communities through the drought and to build resilience for the next one,” Mr Littleproud said.

"This could include financial assistance, water infrastructure rebates, business coaching, succession planning and mental health support services.”
