Driver u-turns to avoid police, crashes into power pole
IT BEGAN when police spotted a vehicle being driven dangerously at Morayfield, and ended with a violent scuffle and a raft of charges.
A 22-year-old Upper Caboolture man will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Friday morning after Thursday night's pursuit.
Police will allege a vehicle was spotted on Oakey Creek Rd about 8.30pm, being driven in a dangerous manner.
The car then allegedly drove into a shopping centre car park and then along Morayfield Rd before police attempted to intercept it.
The vehicle has then allegedly attempted to evade police by performing a u-turn and then collided with a power pole on William Berry Dr.
Police then tried to detain the driver of the car who allegedly violently resisted arrest.
He was arrested and charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle with prior conviction and driving a motor vehicle without a licence and two counts each of obstruct police.
