Drainage works on Arthur street

Scheduled drainage works on Arthur street commenced today including the removal of temporary speed bumps.

The speed bump removal is set to be completed by the end of today and the drainage works projected to take a month.

Drainage works will help to reduce water ponding between Bowen and Mcdowall street.

Around 140m of kerb will also be replaced and an extension made to the existing storm water network.

Residents and businesses are advised that the western side of Arthur street is to be directly impacted by the works.

Temporary disruptions include: noise, restrictions to customer parking, short-term driveway closures and the narrowing of footpaths.

Access to all shops are set to remain open throughout the duration of the work and businesses have been notified by Maranoa regional council.
