Dragons know they have point to prove

After having 62 unanswered points scored against them in their last 160 minutes of football, St George Illawarra needs to break the attacking shackles against the Gold Coast today to escape from the NRL cellar.

It's no easy task on the road, again without playmaker Benji Marshall (hamstring), who missed last weekend's 26-0 loss to Brisbane coming off a 36-0 flogging at the hands of the Cowboys.0

Conceding 62 points against last year's grand finalists without posting a point is a major concern for coach Paul McGregor but had the players executed better and completed better they would have pushed Brisbane a lot harder.

"We had some chances against Brisbane but we turned over too much ball and ran out of gas and leaked too many points near the end," Dragons hooker Mitch Rein said.

"We're not far away from turning it around and we're looking to that up there on the Gold Coast this weekend against the Titans.

"We've lost to two of the best teams in the world but we're disappointed with how we played."

McGregor has made a few changes and Rein said the pressure was now on everyone to lift and produce.

The Titans have surprised everyone this week with their grit and determination, but will have to cope without their enforcer Greg Bird, who failed to win a reprieve at the NRL judiciary.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand Warriors face their moment of truth against physical Bulldogs tonight with the pressure on coach Andrew McFadden to get a win.

To that end he has finally heeded calls to move winger Tuimoala Lolahea into the No.6, with Shaun Johnson back in the No.7.

The Warriors have been the NRL's early flops, failing to play to their potential and relying too heavily on star Johnson, who needs to take off the dinner suit and get deep into the defensive line.
