
Downey's Dux of the year for Roma College
CAMERON Downey will leave his mark on Roma State College having won Dux of the year.
The senior student took out the top gong, which is awarded to the student with the highest achievement in senior studies across their five best subjects
Cameron also won an impressive seven other awards, including the John Rudd Apex Citizenship award.
This award is presented to the student exhibiting the highest degree of fellowship, service and citizenship.
"I'm happy with how I went this year and I ended up topping all six of my subjects,” he said.
"Next year I want to study law at the Australian National University.”
Cameron is looking forward to what his future holds and has some words of wisdom for the younger students.
"Just try your hardest,” he said.
"And work hard but don't forget to have fun at the same time.”
