Document the damage say Suncorp

Suncorp Bank has advised its Roma and Mitchell customers it is okay to allow Council to remove rubbish from street as long as all their property is documented.

There were earlier reports that Suncorp were telling local customers not to have the rubbish moved until viewed by assessors.

However Council want to move the rubbish before it becomes a health risk.

A Suncorp spokesperson said it was easier to make the assessment if the items were still there but they could allow it to be carted away if they needed to get rid of it.

"Make sure you document everything, take photos, note serial numbers, brands, makes and models," the spokesperson said.

"Also keep a piece of damaged carpet or photograph the carpet back where the make and brand is stamped so we can replace it with similar carpet and colour where possible."

Suncorp (also representing AMP and APIA) will be at the customer response centre near the Cultural Centre for the next few days and will contact customers to take appointments.
