Comment: PISTOL and Boo "buggered off" back to the US on the weekend after causing quite a stir when their famous owner smuggled them into Queensland on his private jet, dodging Customs.

I doubt Johnny Depp is in a good mood about the whole thing, but rules are rules, Johnny. Even for someone as devastatingly handsome as you.

Not since the first Gremlins movie have such small, hairy creatures been in the eye of such a storm.

Some may think that storm was in a teacup but I think Barnaby Joyce did the right thing.

He probably didn't make himself any friends in Hollywood, though, and we can only hope he hasn't damaged our blossoming reputation as a great place to make movies.

But we have strict quarantine laws for a reason - to protect our national health and economy.

If Mr Joyce's ticket to the opening of Dead Men Tell no Tails (I mean Tales) is now up for grabs, I'd be happy to take his spot - or is that Spot?
