Cunnamulla police find stash of drugs in truck

CUNNAMULLA police have uncovered a large stash of drugs in a man’s car as he tried to cross over the New South Wales border checkpoint.

Police intercepted a 34-year-old Newtown prime mover at the Barringun border checkpoint at about 6.30pm on November 11.

Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found some marijuana, according to a Queensland Police Service spokesman.

The truckie was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and is set to appear at the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on November 30.
