POLICE have been called to three Roma addresses in two days regarding two break and enters and one case of trespassing.

An elderly Roma resident didn't hear or see the intruders inside her home but noticed her purses and jewellery had been stolen from her bedroom dresser.

Between 7pm and 10.40pm on February 1, unknown suspects put a hole in the flyscreen of a security door on Luff St.

The offenders forced open the locked door and entered the bedroom. After stealing various items, the offenders decamped via the back door, police said.

Police arrived, noticed the hole in the door and found a blue purse, black bag, a bracelet and one gold earring outside on the ground near the door.

Police are still investigating the matter.

 

AN UNKNOWN suspect broke into a home on South St, moved a fluorescent light from the ceiling to the floor and put the homeowner's dog into a spare room.

No belongings were stolen but police said the 40-year-old female victim noticed items in her home had been moved around and the dog was locked in the spare room.

The offender is believed to have pushed through the flyscreen.

Police are still investigating the matter.

 

POLICE have accused two people of entering the front yard of a home, walking around the side and startling by the 59-year-old female homeowner.

At 1.30pm on February 1 on Whip St, the alleged offenders were disturbed by the woman, turned and ran away.

One juvenile male has been charged with trespassing and will appear at Roma Children's Court on March 2. Police are still searching for the second alleged offender.

 

Hit and run

 

A 45-year-old man who parked his car at work at 8am on January 31 and returned just before midday found it had moved 1m down the street.

A 23-year-old man allegedly hit the parked car on Bowen St, across from Kookas BP, and drove off.

The victim noticed his car had move a metre and that the driver's side door had been damaged.

The 23-yera-old has been charged with driving without a licence, driving without due care and attention, and failing to comply with duties involved with a crash.

He has been issued with a notice to appear in the Roma Magistrates Court on March 3.

 

Three traffic notices issued in two days.

 

POLICE have intercepted three different drivers in the space of two days.

At 5.30pm on January 30, police say a 32-year-old male was given a $400 ticket for failing to stop at a level crossing on Currey St.

A 31-year-old male was charged $204 for driving on an expired licence on Mayne St at 8.30am on January 31.

A 54-year-old male was given a $1281 ticket for driving with an unregistered trailer with three or more axles. Police intercepted the offender at Tingun on the Carnarvon Highway at 11.50am on January 31.

 

An $800 drink for 21-year-old

 

POLICE were called to the Royal on Ninety-nine last Friday evening to deal with a 21-year-old Toowoomba man who allegedly was causing a public nuisance.

The man allegedly walked up to a group of males sitting at the venue, took a sip of his Vodka Cruiser and then spat it at one of the males.

The victim allegedly pushed the offender, left the venue and then returned with a friend.

Police arrived just in time to separate the pair.

The 21-year-old was issued an infringement notice and fined $800.
