CRIME WRAP: Cops on the hunt for driver who evaded police

TOURIST blows over

CUNNAMULLA police charged a 76-year-old New South Wales resident with allegedly drink driving.

Police allege about 11pm on Saturday, September 26, police intercepted the man driving a white 4x4 along Weird Rd, Cunnamulla.

The male driver allegedly provided a positive result to a road side breath test.

He was issued with an immediate 24-hour licence suspension and was disqualified from driving for one month.

POLICE arrest woman wanted on warrant

AT about 9.30pm on Thursday, October 1 police allegedly observed a woman drinking alcohol in public.

The 51-year-old Kingston resident was walking along Jane St before police spoke to her and conducted checks which revealed the female was allegedly wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Police arrested the woman and allegedly located a quantity of marijuana on the person.

The woman was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and is set to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 21.

KINGSTON woman busted drink driving

POLICE intercepted a 51-year-old Kingston resident in the early hours of the morning on October 7.

The woman was driving a silver Ford Festiva at about 1am along Louise St.

She allegedly provided a positive result to a roadside breath test.

Police issued the woman with an immediate 24-hour licence suspension and she is set to appear in the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on November 9, charged with drink driving.

EVADING police

POLICE are investigating after the driver of a red Subaru Liberty failed to stop when it was observed by police.

Cunnamulla police allege the vehicle evaded police at speed along the Mitchell Highway, Cunnamulla.

Investigations are continuing.

A YOUNG Roma resident was fined $133 for drinking in a public place.

At about 2.20pm on Friday October 9, officers observed a male person drinking alcohol in public while walking along Jane St.

Police have spoken to the 22-year-old Roma resident and issued the male with a

Liquor Infringement Notice for $133 for drinking in a public place.
