Couple charged with deprivation of liberty

TWO people accused of seriously assaulting another person causing bodily harm have had their matter mentioned in court.

Ann Julie Sammut, 52, and James William Shugg, 36, appeared briefly this week in Ipswich Magistrates Court where there matter was adjourned.

The alleged offence took place on December 27, 2015 at Raceview and the pair were arrested the following day.

Both have also been charged with deprivation of liberty.

The matter was listed for mention again on March 9 and both remain free on bail.
