Council to vote on water tower mural artwork for Maranoa town

THE town of Surat could host Southwest Queensland’s newest tourist attraction if a motion of the council passes successfully at the November 25 meeting.
Maranoa Regional Council will vote to consider whether the water-scarce Surat community would like to see a mural painted on the Surat water tower.
It is expected this motion will be moved by mayor Tyson Golder and if successful, will involve consultation with the Surat community.
