It's the $95,000 a year job that nobody wants

A NEW Fraser Coast Regional Council position that will cost ratepayers $300,000 over three years has not been filled.

The position was advertised in September and a statement said the council was working toward filling the role.

Titled as the Executive Officer to the Mayor's Office, the position is advertised at a $95,000 annual salary, plus superannuation, on a three-year contract.

The person in the role would work closely with Mayor Chris Loft.
