Come down and bleed blue on Saturday night

RUGBY LEAGUE: Arthur Beetson Oval will host a showdown between Roma Cities and the Chinchilla Bulldogs on Saturday night .

Roma Cities are making a call to arms, asking old boys from the club and Roma Wattles to come down and cheer on the three teams as Cities look send to the Bulldogs packing.

Cities president Mark Street said the Saturday night fixture would be one to remember.

"If old Cities boys and Wattles boys would like to wear their old jerseys, the club will give you free entry and discounted beers for the day," he said.

"It's always a tough game against Chinchilla, we always have a big hit out against them because we are both two very competitive sides.

"We are looking forward to the challenge and I'm sure we will come out on top."

The under-18s will kick off the afternoon at 2.45pm.

Street said with a few Charleville players making up the numbers, the boys could be on track for a win.

"The U18s have only played the one game so far.

"We look like we have got a fairly decent side who will shape up well on the day," he said.

"I'd like to thank the players and parents from Charleville who make the trip down each week to boost our numbers and make it possible for the kids to play."

At 4pm, Elliot Lewis's fearless Reserve Grade side will look to continue their undefeated run early in the season.

At 5.30pm, the main event will kick off with an in-form Cities side taking on the reigning A-grade premiers.

Street said Cities A-grade side had regained some form which could see them get on top of the Bulldogs.

"Hopefully we draw a crowd and we encourage everyone to stay back because the bar will be open after the game and we will also be serving some hot pot meals for dinner," he said.

"As a club we are really looking forward to having a Saturday night fixture.

"So hang around and enjoy the atmosphere of the club."
