THE bail hearing of a man charged over the death of Cole Miller has been delayed until Wednesday, January 27.

Brisbane Magistrate Wendy Cull earlier this week held over the of 21-year-old Daniel Jermaine Lee Maxwell until today.

However, today's scheduled 2.30pm bail application continuation did not go ahead.

Mr Maxwell is expected to learn if he will be bailed when re appears before the Brisbane Magistrates Court at 2pm on Wednesday.

The initial delay occurred to give police more time to verify bail address details and other matters.

It is not known why the hearing was delayed today.

Mr Maxwell, from Victoria, and 21-year-old Armstrong Renata are charged with unlawful striking causing death.

Police allege the men attacked 18-year-old Mr Miller in Fortitude Valley on January 3.
