Coast man charged for allegedly assaulting boy, 2
SUNSHINE Coast detectives have charged a 33-year-old man after a child sustained critical injuries at Kin Kin on Wednesday.
Around 3.30pm, the two-year-old boy was airlifted to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital with serious injuries.
Following investigations, police will allege the boy had been assaulted on numerous occasions between December last year and March this year.
The boy remains in a critical condition in hospital.
A 33-year-old Kin Kin man was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
