Cherry blossom special kills 32
AT LEAST 32 people were killed when a tourist coach crashed near Taipei, Taiwan on Monday. The bus was carrying about 40 mostly elderly people home after a day trip to Wuling Farm to see cherry blossoms. An official from the Tieh Lien Hua Travel Agency that organised the trip said the tourists were "likely” all from Taiwan. It is unclear what caused the crash, however TV reports say police suspect the driver was speeding when the coach took a sharp turn on a highway. Video footage shows the bus crashing through a highway railing and flipping onto its side.
