Cattle truck trailer rolls on Warrego Hwy

A TRAILER has reportedly unhitched from a cattle truck and rolled on the highway west of Wallumbilla.

The two-trailer truck was heading east from Roma when the rear trailer and dolly came away from the truck and rolled at about 3 o'oclock this afternoon.

Officer in charge Duane Frank said the truck driver was uninjured and 18 beasts had to be destroyed.

Sgt Frank said Roma Police were investigating.

One lane of the highway is open to traffic and the other lane is due to re-open shortly.
