Calling all dancing queens to the Club Hotel this Friday

TAKE a chance on the ultimate ABBA and Bee Gees tribute band coming to the Club Hotel on Friday night.

ABBA Re-Bjorn and The Ultimate Bee Gees have joined forces together for a showcase spectacular, collating five decades of super hits, including karaoke favourites Dancing Queen, Stayin' Alive, Knowing Me Knowing You, Massachusetts and many more.

Performer Damian Wynne, who plays Barry Gibb in the The Ultimate Bee Gees and Benny Andersson in ABBA Re-Bjorn, said the show's cheeky sense of humour, great costumes, musicality and dynamic choreography were what made the internationally acclaimed tribute acts so successful.

"Their songs cross all age boundaries - it doesn't matter if you're nine or 90, ABBA's hits are everlasting,” Wynne said.

"Their music has cut through musicals and movies like Muriel's Wedding and Mamma Mia!, which has made it more popular then ever for youth.”

In a hauntingly accurate tribute, the performers will be decked out in platforms, blue eyeshadow and flared pants to give true ABBA and Bee Gees fans the ultimate night of entertainment.

Wynne, who has been performing in the act since its origin 13 years ago, is excited to be coming back to Roma for the second time.

"There's nothing quite like a country crowd,” he said.

"They tend to be a bit reserved until they've had half a dozen drinks and then the enthusiasm comes out.

"Roma is one of those towns that thrives on community spirit and really appreciates when acts like us come out.

"It's great performing to the die-hard ABBA or Bee Gee fans but even better when we see the closet fans getting hooked.”

The performance will kick off at 8pm, call the Club Hotel on 4622 1322 to book your tickets.

Presale tickets are $30 or $35 on the night.
