Northbound Bruce Hwy traffic is badly congested between Murrumba Downs and Elimbah
Northbound Bruce Hwy traffic is badly congested between Murrumba Downs and Elimbah Stuart Cumming

MOTORISTS heading from Brisbane to the Coast should be prepared for lengthy delays this afternoon.

Only motorcyclists chancing their hands between cars and along road shoulders were piercing heavy congestion from Pine River bridge at Murrumba Downs to north of Caboolture.

Traffic was not quite stopped but only crawling for long distances.

There appeared to be no such problems on the southbound run.

Northbound traffic flowed more freely after the turnoff to Woodford.
