Big year ahead for Roma District Motorcycle Club

THE Roma and District Motorcycle Club have enjoyed yet another fantastic Easter meeting – but the best of 2016 is yet to come.

More than 120 riders, both young and old, made their way to Roma’s motocross track on Saturday, with participants coming from Roma, Bundaberg, Charleville, Thargomindah and Moree in NSW.

President Natasha Swan said membership with the club had been its highest in years, which she said was because of a focus on skill development.

“We always want to encourage new people to come along and try,” Swan said.

“Our membership this year is better – we tried to reduce the number of race days and increase practice days.

“We now have a focus on skill development rather than competition, but racing is still important.”

The club will hold a practice day this weekend for those wanting to come and try, with Roma to also host the last round of the Go Girls Series.
