Bajool ammonium nitrate truck crash driver fined $1500

THE driver involved in a B-double rollover on Port Alma Rd, Bajool was fined $1500 in Rockhampton Magistrate Court today.
The driver, Paul Wattus, was charged with one count of driving without due care and attention after rolling a truck carrying ammonium nitrate around 5.30am on April 23
The court heard Wattus, who did not appear in court, steered too far to the left hand side of the road while doing 91km which caused the truck to roll.
Wattus sustained a head and knee injury as a result of the accident and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital
A conviction was also recorded.
