Armstrong’s Mustang brings the muscle to Easter in the Country parade

GREG Caletti has always loved American muscle cars, and now the Maranoa PCYC manager has the chance to drive one down the streets of Roma.

Armstrong Auto Group has teamed up with the PCYC as part of this year’s Easter in the Country street parade, with owner John Armstrong donating his own 2016 Ford Mustang for Mr Caletti to drive along McDowall St on Saturday.

Mr Armstrong said he had always had a passion for cars, and was particularly proud of the vehicle, which has had 4000 units already pre- purchased across Australia.

“I’ve grown up around cars, and this is an exciting product for us to bring out,” he said.

“We’ve seen people coming into our dealerships and have pre-ordered them because they may have owned one before – they are Mustang nuts.

“You won’t be able to buy another one of these cars until mid-2017 – all 4000 units have been pre-sold.”

Mr Caletti said it was an absolute privilege to drive the car.

“I’m not really nervous about anything,” he said.

“It’s going to be an awesome show for everyone.”
