Apex's teddy bear picnic in support of a good cause

GATHER your favourite teddy or two and make your way down to Apex Park for a picnic in support of a worthy cause.

Apex Roma are holding their Teddy Bears Picnic this Sunday and have generously decided to donate all money raised from the gold coin entry to go towards helping Yuleba burns victim Matthew Russell.

Apex president Tash McInnes said everyone in the community are welcome to come along to the day.

"Absolutely everybody, with kids or without kids, friends and family of stallholders are welcome,” she said.

"You will have to bring your own teddy and you can bring as many as you want.”

Ms McInnes said people who may be unsure of how they can donate money can come along to this event and know that they are supporting Matthew and the community.

"We've had a lot of people who are unsure of how they can help so the event will be taking donations for Matthew,” she said.

There will be raffles, stalls, a jumping castle, a teddy bear parade and plenty of food available on the day.

Where and when: 11am Sunday at Apex Park, Roma. BYO Teddy bear.
