Anzac Test postponed after big wet

THE Anzac Test between Australia and New Zealand will be played at Suncorp Stadium at 4pm on Sunday afternoon after torrential rain in Brisbane made playing conditions unsafe.

NRL head of football operations Todd Greenberg said there were "a number of considerations for the decision, primarily player safety as well as that of our supporters."

It was the first time a rugby league Test in Australia had been postponed because of the weather.

The curtain-raiser between the Jillaroos and Kiwi Ferns, which was cancelled yesterday evening, will now be played at 2pm on Sunday.
