Animal welfare concerns to be addressed by Maranoa Council
CONCERNED residents have been raising concerns about animal welfare to Maranoa Regional Council.
The council is set to vote on whether to consult the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries to find ways to work on reports of animals with histories of being in distress.
The motion, expected to be moved by mayor Tyson Golder, will be for a report to be prepared for an upcoming council meeting.
Councillors are set to vote on the proposal in the next ordinary meeting tomorrow, November 25.
